Recently, I’ve been introduced to the wonderful world of classical education!
Prior to this year, I had only occasionally heard people mention classical education. I knew a few of my fellow homeschoolers did it, and that some used a program called Classical Conversations. The extent of my knowledge was that it sounded fancy, involved a lot of memorization, and apparently, they learned Latin (which in all honesty, I had never quite got the point of).
Despite my utter lack of knowledge, the folks out at Classical Conversations HQ in North Carolina decided to take a chance on me. Now, I have the pleasure of apprenticing in their marketing department! You know what that means? I need to learn all I can about these educators, how the education model works, and the ins and outs of the largest classical education curriculum company in the U.S.
Want to learn alongside me?
Classical education is pretty different, and not everyone gets it. So, I decided to start up this blog series, “Newly Classical”. In these posts, those of you who are curious about the teaching style can join me as I learn! Plus, I’ll probably toss in a few fun behind the scenes tales from CC headquarters every now and then, too. We have an amazing team here!
